The foot is firmly on the gas as we drive forward with growth plans despite the pandemic by expanding our fleet and staff numbers.

After a recent investment of £600,000 into new vehicles and trailers, we are proud to now own one of the largest waste haulage fleets in Lancashire.

To support the increased scale of operations the size of our team is growing, having recently recruited a new Transport Assistant taking our total number of staff to 70. We’ve also created opportunities for new HGV Class 1 drivers, a new HSEQ Manager and a Business Development Manager to join our Mellor Brook based team.

There’s no stopping us as we continue to grow after winning several new contracts, including our appointment by Lancashire Renewables to provide 30 new waste disposal and recycling vehicles.

Our Managing Director, Chris Monk said: “Since the onset of Covid-19 the waste management industry, like many others, has faced significant challenges – none less than the temporary closure of Household Waste Recycling Centres during the first lockdown.

“Our sector has worked together to introduce safety measures and I’m glad to say 100 per cent of our fleet is now back on the roads, and we’re adding to it.

“Despite the pandemic waste continues to be created and needs to be moved – and we’re focused on driving forward by growing our capacity to meet that demand.”
